With the increasing popularity of pectoral augmentation over the past 10-12 years, men have also have been asking for a procedure that can increase the definition and size of the upper arm muscles. Dr. Tiller pioneered a technique for bicep and/or tricep augmentation, and has been performing the surgery for over 7 years now.
Procedure: Very soft, but solid silicone implants are placed under the arm covering of the bicep muscle and the tricep muscle through short incisions beneath the arm. Many times, the bicep, tricep implants are placed at the same time as the pectoral augmentation and use the same incision in the armpit. There is modest discomfort for a few days following the procedure. Muscle function and strength are not affected by the surgery, and full arm work-outs may be started within 4-6 weeks. Substantial increase in size and arm definition of the upper arm muscles may be achieved with this procedure.
Cost: $9,000 including implants, surgical facility, anesthesia and recovery.
